The Filipino Martial Arts (FMA)
Hailing from the Philippine islands, the Filipino martial arts known as Kali (or Arnis or Escrima) are rooted in the combative use of impact weapons, bladed weapons, and projectile weapons. The goal is to teach the student how to deal with armed confrontations as well as unarmed confrontations in the most dynamic and realistic way possible. The Filipino martial arts are currently regarded as the most efficient close-quarters weapon methods in the world, and have been adopted among members of the military and law enforcement community. The reality of armed assaults in the street also make the Filipino martial arts a practical choice for the responsible and aware private citizen.
About Bayani Warrior
Bayani Warrior is a group that seeks to develop people physically, mentally, and spiritually by teaching them an expression of what the Filipino warrior arts are meant to be: fluid, direct, and efficient. The primary focus is on the realistic use of impact weapons and edged weapon methods rooted within the Filipino fighting paradigm. Students come from all walks of life to learn how to better protect and serve their loved ones and communities by learning how to be the heroes and the warriors in their own lives.
The name Bayani Warrior consists of two words.
Bayani (bay'ani): Tagalog noun. hero
Warrior (wȯr-yər) : noun. one who prepares for warfare; an individual who faces problems with a focused mind and spirit

What makes Bayani Warrior Different?
Bayani Warrior is unique due to the following:
Functionality: Everything we trained is designed to work in real-time against a resisting opponent. The drills, training methods, and sparring progression we utilize are designed to teach the student how to deal with the pressure and energy of a weapons attack.
In Bayani Warrior, we focus on the combative application of various Filipino weapon sets.
These weapons include
-Stick and Dagger
-Sinawali (Double Sticks)
-Batuta (Filipino Short Baton)
-Suntukan (Filipino Boxing)
In Bayani Warrior, we seek to live the ideals of the hero...one who lives not just for themselves, but for the good of others around them. A true Bayani (hero) puts the good of the group and the good of their community above themselves. A Bayani stands for something higher and is willing to go out of his or her way to make sure the world around them is better. As a result, Bayani Warrior members take part in community service and charity events to help improve the world around them. In addition, we also seek to be Warriors through combative Filipino Kali training. Such training develops focus, courage, and strength that one needs to live a powerful life and work through life's challenges. In essence, we seek to both Bayanis AND Warriors, and as Bayani Warriors we seek to combine both our ideals as well as focused action to express those ideals properly. The spiritual aspect of our training is equally as important as the physical combative aspect of our training. One cannot exist without the other.
